Data Recovery Processes
Six months back my pc crashed. When I turned my pc on it would not load Windows XP and so I could not get into my two tough drive files. As an author and of ebooks, I had all my files in two tough drives with out any other backup. At initial, I panic. The believed of dropping all my data files and writings was unthinkable. Then I got angry with myself for letting myself get into this scenario.
Have you ever felt the terror, concern, and then anger connected with dropping data that you worth so a lot? I started to believe about the different ways I could try to get my data. After attempting different issues, I realized I could not recover my data by myself. I finally gave in and realized that I require help.
I believed about pulling the tough drives out or taking my pc to a data recovery service. As I looked in the yellow pages and via goggle lookup for nearby data recovery pc solutions, I was able to find a couple of. I realized it was going to cost me a couple of bucks, but I needed my data and I needed my pc to do my function.
Finally, I decided to phone a pc friend of mine that had carried out some function for me in the past. After he tried what he could with his knowledge, he could not get windows to open. So right here is what we decided was the greatest course of action:
* Purchase a new 120-megabyte tough drive
* Format and install Windows XP on the new tough drive on another pc.
* Eliminate 1 tough drive C from old pc and install new tough drive on old pc
* Copy files from drive D that was left on old pc onto new tough drive
* Eliminate drive D old pc and install drive C
Career complete. With the new tough drive now phone drive G, I now had drive C with all my old data and drive D with my old data.
There would have been numerous other ways to configure and transfer old tough drive data but this 1 worked for me and I was pleased because I could entry my files.
Cost was $a hundred and fifty for my friend and $100 for 120 MB tough drive and about a week of lost productivity.
I don’t know what trigger my pc to fail but I could have been a virus. If your pc crashes, can you manage to be a week with out your data? As an individual, maybe you can repair it your self or with the help of a pc expert. For a company pc you will require the help of a data recovery service if you don’t have a resident IT individual.
