Think it or not, you can market on discussion boards and message boards with out pissing anyone off. In fact, not only can you market this way, you Should market this way, and I will inform you why later in this article. But for now, I’d like to stage out that the cause I am composing this article is simply because someone on an affiliate forum that I frequent got kicked out of an affiliate system for spamming a message board neighborhood. He’d posted his viewpoint of the affiliate product in the “personal views” section of the board, and the moderator of the neighborhood documented him to the merchant, who then kicked him out of the affiliate system.

There’s a large difference between expressing your viewpoint and marketing a product. Often the difference can be discerned as effortlessly as discerning the tracking code in an affiliate URL for a product. I moderate at several discussion boards online, and I despise dealing with spammers who think it’s okay to blatantly market to my visitors with out contributing something of value to my neighborhood. So here are my rules for marketing on discussion boards with out pissing anyone off.

one- Participate in a forum that allows links to your website in your signature. If the discussion board does not permit links in your signature, go find 1 that does.

2- Participate in the forum. Inquire pertinent questions. Make pithy observations. Answer others’ questions if you know the correct solutions. Try to publish something daily, perhaps much more often. Just be sure that you’re not just participating to get your hyperlink in front of individuals participate in the forum in purchase to add value to the members’ experiences there. The rewards in terms of greater click-through’s and conversions are nicely worth it.

three- Consist of a hyperlink to your website in your signature file in a regular sized font.

That’s it. That’s all there is to it. How does this help your marketing? Nicely, you should be participating in discussion boards at minimum partially related or of curiosity to the individuals who hang out in a forum. So some of them will click on your signature hyperlink just out of curiosity.
