Reward Your Forum Moderators

If you are a forum administrator and you have moderators on your site who are performing a stellar job, consider rewarding them for their help. No, I am not necessarily talking about monetary compensation, but other recognizable forms of displaying your gratefulness.

As the forum administrator for the Corporate Flight Attendant Community, I have been blessed to have on board four members of the company aviation community who have helpfully assisted me in the function of moderator for about 1 yr. Admittedly, I began the site on my personal and only added moderators after the site’s second anniversary. In retrospect, I want I had been more diligent in adding moderators.

Simply because of the unique “nicheness” of my site, I can “reward” my moderators in a number of methods:

one. I permit moderators to advertise inside their signature. This consists of links to their personal websites or info about their companies.

two. Free banner marketing. If my moderators have a banner marketing their company it gets place on my site in at minimum 1, if not two, premium places.

three. Marketing of materials. A number of of my moderators are accomplished writers. When not adding helpful and interesting info inside a thread, I can count on them submitting an write-up to my site which I will gladly have with the appropriate links integrated.

four. Free services. I cost my members to list their resumes, but not my moderators to have their copy outlined. If there is some thing, something else I can give absent to my moderators I will do it.

five. Giveaways. While my moderators can’t take part in community contests, I will give products/ absent when possible. Truthfully, this hasn’t occurred however, but I am definitely open to that chance!

6. Create letters. One of my moderators needed a small promoting of his capabilities I addressed a letter to the correct celebration to assist him successfully get what he needed.

In all, my moderators are an important component of the success of my site. I can’t forget their importance and I urge you to remember your moderators’ contributions as well. You may not have the monetary wherewithal to contribute money, but definitely there are methods you can manifest your gratitude.
