WHAT I Found FROM POPE JOHN PAUL II

I am not a Catholic, but I felt a deep reduction when Pope John Paul II took unwell and then died. That is what happens to us with public people–we connect with them even if we did not know them. Maintain in thoughts when JFK was shot? When Princess Di was killed? We invite these males and women into our hearts, we reside via them, and when they die, we are affected. We embrace them, and they become element of our family members members. All you afternoon soap enthusiasts will know precisely what I am talking about!

I found important life-lessons from Pope John Paul II, and I would like to reveal some of them with you. He was constant in his message, never wavering and generally being crystal obvious about what the Church stood for. Perhaps that explains whay he was generally surrounded by so several adoring youthful people. It was unusual, do not you believe, for an eighty-yr-aged guy to be cheered and adored by teen-agers and Gen-Xers. But maybe not so shocking–they knew “precisely where he was coming from,” and agree or disagree, the messenger could generally be trusted. What an important messgage for us mom and father!

He was serene in his illness. He was never frightened, even when we all had been. He knew he was dying, but it never “defined” him. He noticed himself as a Pope who was unwell, not a walking illness who happened to be the Pope! He did everyhing he could to retain the spark of holiness with which God created him, and at the finish, we knew that the Universe had misplaced a Master of Holiness. Jewish Tradition might even contact him a Tzaddik, a living breathing exemplar of a higher level spirit, an reminder of what you and I might become in our own lives
