Make a Golden Christmas Tree

Several Many years back whilst I was shopping for Christmas I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the holiday arrangements at the department shop I was in.

I was dazzled by the sight, golden branches wrapped in twinkling white lights. The concept was so simple but yet completely beautiful.

Inside a moment I decided I would re-produce it at home. Once home, I took a stroll in the woods to gather the essential branches and the other supplies were effortlessly found at my local craft shop.

I created three trees that yr and placed them on my front porch two smaller ones on the left side of the door and a bigger one to the correct. The effect was just what I had hoped for~ a golden glow that welcomed family and friends into my home for the holidays.

Supplies Required for One Tree:

Large tree branch that &quotlooks&quot like a small tree
Gold spray paint
Gold material
Gold cording
Soil
String of white lights
Plastic garbage bag

1. Find a big tree branch that when held on its end, appears like a small tree.

2. Fill a garbage bag with soil, enough to support the weight of the branch when inserted. Insert the branch and pack the soil about it so it stands upright. Tie the bag securely about bottom of branch. Form the bag of soil so it appears like the root ball when you buy a new tree from the nursery. *Note-it will be heavy so function pretty shut to where you want your final undertaking so you don’t have too far to move it.

three. Spray entire tree with gold spray paint and let it dry.

four. Wrap &quotroot ball&quot in gold material and safe with gold cording.

five. String with white lights.

Since making my golden Christmas trees I have observed a similar undertaking where the tree was spray painted white and the &quotroot ball&quot was coated with colourful holiday material. Either way, it tends to make a festive holiday show. Enjoy the holidays!
