In the previous post we have written about top quick tips of search engine optimization. This post is the continuing post of it.

* About keyword density, set it in 1-2%.

* On each page, the good minimum word is 300 and the maximal is 750.

* Choose your own domain name that reflects your keyword. You can use hypens for spacing keywords. Example : search-engine-rankings.com. The ideal extension is com, then you can use .net and others

* Choose the good name directory that reflects your keyword like

www.yoursite.com/search-engine-rankings/ or…
www.yoursite.com/search_engine_rankings/

* Choose the web page name that using keyword and separate with hyphens or underscores.

search-engine-rankings.html or…
search_engine_rankings.html

* The same rule for graphic files such as

<IMG SRC=”search-engines-rankings.gif”>

* Get the ALT or alternate text in your images. Again include your keyword, suchas

<IMG SRC=”search-engines-rankings.gif” ALT= “search engine rankings.”>

* For image map user, use HTML links, because image map links are not followed by some search engines. image maps also do not offer link text to index.

* Plural or longer keyword can be used. this can be used by search engine to gives visitor the keywords that extend beyond what they searched for.

* In the body text , you can use a few uncommon keywords and synonyms. These keywords have less competition that gives you site a greater chance of being top results.

* On a web page, dont repeat keywords or keyword phrases as it can be considered as spam.
